a RE-POSTING for my readers, especially the LDS ones

Yeah just read it cause it'll make you smile.. oh but first I need to testify to you that President Monson, the new leader of our church, has been raised to fill the mantle placed upon him. I watched his first ever talk during the Priesthood General Conference right after he had been set apart and sustained by all the members and I saw and felt the moment that (for me at least) the mantle was his to wear now .. I don't know if any of the other brethren saw and felt the same, but I hope we all have felt it since.

BUT!!!

the re-post must go on so set your minds with these words.... Gordan Hinckley ... then think of him for a moment and just feel your emotions when his name is mentioned as you remember every ones' step-grandfather Prophet... then read the poem about him in all it's creative, loving beauty....

"Prophetic Passing

I imagine he's running to Marjorie now,
Yes, running, not waving his cane.
I see him embracing his father and mother
While they keep repeating his name.

I see him now meeting his forebears,
Brother Brigham and Joseph are there.
Sweet reunion of prophets, united by service
That only such noble men share.

I see him embraced by the Savior
While Father says, "Good and well done.
So faithful in stalwart endurance, I welcome
My noble, most excellent son."

I then hear the ripples of laughter
As he says the reception's just fine,
But he hopes that he'll get an assignment or two
Since there's no need to waste any time.

I can hear his clear voice in the stillness
At the close of this sweet Sabbath day,
Have faith and move forward - there's work to be done.
President Hinckley would want it that way. "

Written by a 15 year old from Ohio:

(From one of my emails with to many fwd: or Re: in them, but it's good.)

New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME!) Since the Pledge of Allegiance & The Lords Prayer Are not allowed in Schools anymore Because the word 'God' is mentioned... A Kid in Ohio wrote the attached...

NEW School prayer :

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might of fend someone with no faith at all.

In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks..
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take! Amen

Jesus said, as recorded by Mark 8:38 -Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
